Lyrics
The End
(The End . . . 90 Seconds to Midnight - Sterling Anthony)
It was a beautiful day outside. The streets were lovely
And the mood was right, sweeter than about a pound of honey.
Time to party! Let's get wild and lively, people do whatever,
And the measure of cheddar tends to determine who's better.
Well. One couldn't tell the other's right from wrong.
By this point the lines of morality were redrawn.
The headstrong couldn't relate to which tribe they were from,
Let alone comprehend what the curse made them become.
Their egos grew, nobody knew the damage it had done but
Arrogance flowed and blinded everyone's trust.
Lost in a state of denial, the truth turned to dust.
In this disturbing cycle, all reality got crushed.
But it's “still all good in the hood”, that's the mentality.
In this insanity, illusions breed immortality.
Living life large, embrace success with audacity,
While at the same time desensitized to fatalities.
But any way it was a lovely day.
The park was packed. Girls were stacked. Guys had something to say.
Throwing money in the air, there were racks upon racks.
Counting likes and follows on their social media stats.
Caught up in the hype, they never stopped to contemplate
The future ramifications of their current situations.
Poppin' bottles in the sun, celebrating their vitality.
In actuality, maxing out on all capacity.
Living for the moment, embracing life's totality,
While people full of pride celebrate their duality
And that ain't enough because they want your kids too,
So they do what they do to make sure it's in plain view.
But no one complained. The puzzle pieces fit together
Nicely. Precisely. It's just part on the agenda!
2030 is right around the corner
They all are talking about power,
But Billy G. (Bill Gates) Is the biggest landowner!
I looked up and saw not a cloud in the sky,
While everyone around was high and not expecting to die.
Oh, look at that! The Fall Feast days are creeping up!
I wonder if the trumpets sound in this round. Things are heating up.
End of days, chaos reigns, the world's turning ugly.
The lightning cracked; the skies rolled back. Now it's not so lovely,
Is it? Look who came to pay a visit. You’re surprised?
You can't disguise the truth. Now there's nowhere to hide.
The streets were packed with people ready to attack.
My mind was intact, but these people's party got hijacked.
They're blinded by the beast, so with the truth they've lost track.
They're trapped in a system that they can't rollback.
In a world at war, where no one's feeling calm,
I was as cool as a fan 'cuse I know where I came from.
After the shofar blast It was pretty much a wrap.
The legions converged and brought forth His righteous wrath.
Every tongue confessed. On the pavement the knees went
And this my friends is what they call The End.
